Priorities
Supporting education, including properly funding schools and special/gifted education
Fully funding Kansas state obligations for special education and gifted programs to allow our local districts the flexibility to lower property taxes, fund our high quality public school education, and invest in our children’s education. All of this is what makes our neighborhoods special and great places to live and the reason we have strong and stable property values.
Building a strong and healthy community
Just as an individual needs to be healthy and strong to live his or her life, a community has these same needs. Individuals need the freedom to make health and safety decisions for themselves and their families without interference from their government. Both individuals and the community need access to mental health services, addiction services, and reliable affordable medical care.
Promoting growth through fair tax policy and sensible regulation
All across the United States, people start, expand, and run businesses. They do this because the United States has a stable system of protection for property rights, regulations, and taxes. Our state can do the same to attract and retain strong businesses and skilled workers.
